Pathos is a mobile game that uses AR and a low poly art style to create a personalized experience for users based on their emotional state to help them better themselves and understand the experience of others.

Concept

Create a game that is a force for good with Xbox & Rare Studios Due to COVID-19 people have been feeling more isolated and depressed. Developing a platform for users to express themselves in a non judgemental environment, will insight conversations about mental health. As well as, provide a support system that creates an activity to get people outside the house.

Our Solution

Develop a mobile AR game that takes user input to create a personalized experience for the users. They will then play minigames related to their emotional state that helps them better understand what they might be going through or how to cope with it. They can also interact with other users once they’ve cleared an area, via notes they can leave for others to find.

What I learned

I learned a lot of new techniques in Blender as well as how to connect with people via user experience. This brief introduced a very difficult problem to solve "Make a game that is a force for good in the world". This challenge proved to me that I can develop new solutions to difficult problems.
